Working on a greener world together with Google, Waze, Apple and Tesla and working on various backend projects written in PHP (Laravel), Go and Python. Your challenge

As a software engineer, you will design, test and build new functionalities for our clients. Your challenge is to further develop and maintain the applications, data and security architecture. The main language experience that we are looking for is PHP. Activities includes:

  • Proactively identify and propose opportunities to improve the architecture and systems (performance, scalability, security, etc.);

  • Provide input on priorities and (jointly) manage the roadmap;

  • Feels responsible for the entire lifecycle of software development. You build it, you make sure it runs smoothly, and you take pride and ownership in your work.

Job requirements

  • Software engineering experience: Having 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.

  • At least 3 years hands-on PHP experience, working predominantly on professional projects (for businesses or open-source). We work with Laravel, PHP-FPM, Nginx and run our applications on Google Cloud Platform.; 

  • Previous experience with Go is desirable, but not essential. We’re slowly migrating from PHP to Go, but will always hold some love for PHP.
